Privacy Policy.

The service collects:

• At sign-up: your email and (optionally) your name, provided when you subscribe through the newsletter popup, the /newsletter/ page, the /freebies/ page, or the chat assistant. We tag each subscription with the surface it came from for our own list-quality reporting — this tag is internal only.
• When you contact us: your name and email submitted through the contact form.
• When you use our chat assistant: the messages you send through the chat widget. If you choose to subscribe through chat, your email and the deal-interest categories you select.
• Anonymous browsing data (deal views, click-throughs) recorded against a random browser identifier — not tied to your identity.
• Aggregate device and browser data collected anonymously by our hosting provider (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
• IP addresses and approximate geographic location, logged on every visit. Where we store IPs for security or rate-limiting, they are scrambled so the original address cannot be recovered.

Not collected: payment details, social security numbers, government IDs.

Information enables:

• Delivery of deal alerts
• Content improvement across the platform
• Affiliate link performance measurement
• Aggregate traffic analysis (which deals perform well, which pages are popular) using our own first-party analytics
• Helping our chat assistant respond to your deal-finding questions

We do not use your data for advertising retargeting and do not share behavioral data with ad networks.

We share limited data with the following third-party service providers:

• Email service provider (Brevo): we use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to deliver transactional and newsletter emails. Brevo receives subscriber names and email addresses solely for the purpose of delivering our messages, under confidentiality and DPA obligations, and may not use this data for their own marketing.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: our site is hosted on infrastructure that logs basic request metadata (IP, user agent, referrer) for security and aggregate traffic analytics. No cross-site tracking or advertising identifiers are used.
• Content delivery network (Cloudflare): all requests are proxied through Cloudflare for performance and basic abuse protection. Cloudflare may receive request metadata (IP, user agent, URL) and set strictly functional security cookies on our behalf.
• AI inference (Anthropic): when you send a message via our chat assistant with AI mode active, your message and prior chat turns are sent to Anthropic for response generation using their Claude Haiku model. • Affiliate networks: they receive anonymous referral and click data when users navigate to retailer sites via our deal links. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full list.

We do not set marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking, ad pixels, or third-party trackers.

The following strictly functional cookies may be set:

• __cf_bm — Set by: Cloudflare. Purpose: bot management and abuse prevention. Duration: 30 minutes.
• cf_clearance — Set by: Cloudflare. Purpose: records that a challenge was passed. Duration: up to 24 hours.
• WordPress session cookies — Set by: WordPress core. Purpose: admin dashboard authentication. Duration: session only. Set only for site administrators — not set during regular browsing.

To understand which deals are popular, we record anonymous events using a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage. This identifier is not a cookie, is not shared with third parties, and cannot be tied back to your identity.

When you dismiss our newsletter popup, complete a signup, or unsubscribe from emails, we store a small flag in your browser's session or local storage so we don't re-prompt you. This flag contains only a timestamp — no personal data — and can be cleared at any time by clearing your site data.

Your chat conversation with our deal assistant is held only in your browser tab's session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.

You can clear locally stored analytics data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Our website includes an optional chat assistant ("Mai") that helps you find deals through natural-language search. When AI mode is active, the system uses Anthropic's Claude Haiku model to generate responses.

What's sent to Anthropic:

• Your chat messages
• Prior turns in the same conversation (so the assistant has context)
• A system prompt that tells the model how to behave

What's not sent:

• Your email, IP address, browsing history, or any account identifier
• Any data outside the active chat conversation

What Anthropic does with it:

• Uses it to generate the response, then discards it. Anthropic does not use chat content to train their models.
• See Anthropic's privacy policy for their commitments.

What we keep:

• The IP hash and timestamp of each chat request, used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We do not log message content.
• If you choose to subscribe through the chat, your email, selected interests, and consent are stored under the same rules as any other newsletter sign-up.

If AI mode is unavailable (e.g. service interruption or daily spend cap reached), the chat falls back to a built-in keyword search. No data is sent to Anthropic in that mode.

Subscribers receive deal alerts and promotions upon agreement. Per CAN-SPAM requirements, all messages include:

• Clear identification as advertisements
• Physical mailing address
• Functional unsubscribe mechanisms
• 10-business-day opt-out processing

Personal information is not sold or shared except:

• With the email platform we use to send deal alerts, solely to deliver your emails, never for their own marketing.
• Per legal obligations.
• As anonymous affiliate referral data when you click out to a retailer.

Active subscribers: your data is kept for as long as you remain on the list.

After you unsubscribe: your email is removed from all active mailing lists immediately. We retain a record of your email (in hashed and plaintext form) indefinitely so we never accidentally re-add you to the list if you sign up again with the same address. You may request full deletion at any time via support@hmonsterdeals.com.

Suppression list: if your email hard-bounces or is reported as spam, our system flags it as suppressed and excludes it from all future sends. This is a deliverability protection, not a punitive measure — it keeps our sender reputation healthy for the rest of the list.

IP address and server log data is hash-stored (no raw IP retained) and rotated within 90 days.

We implement industry-standard protections including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and access controls that limit who can view subscriber information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

Residents of states with privacy legislation (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Nevada) may request:

• Data access: a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Deletion: removal of your personal information from our systems
• Correction: fixing inaccurate information we hold
• Sale opt-out: we do not sell personal data, so this right is not applicable

Nevada residents: Under Nevada SB 220, you may opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information; no further action is required.

Hmonster Deals / Couponbro is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has submitted information may contact support@hmonsterdeals.com to request deletion.

This platform complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable CCPA standards regarding minors.

Hmonster Deals / Couponbro is a deals aggregator. The majority of links on this site direct users to third-party retailer websites. These sites operate independently and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or data collection of any external site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any retailer site before providing personal information.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that signals your preference not to be tracked across websites. Because Hmonster Deals / Couponbro does not engage in cross-site tracking, share data with ad networks, or use advertising pixels, no change in behavior is required when DNT is enabled. You can further limit data collection by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.
